Square One
We found out yesterday that the house we picked out in CO already has a contract on it. The people have until the 13th to close. This is a foreclosure and evidently someone connected with the family has put up the offer. The house has been on the market for around a year and this isn’t the first time an offer like this has been made. The offers have all fallen through up to this point.
However, even if the current offer does fall through, we would have to make a bigger down payment than we had planned or have higher monthly payments. So, even if the house comes back on the market, we’re not sure if we would attempt to buy it.
That’s what has brought us back to square one. We have to be out of our house by Aug.20th and have no place to go (or even a possibility of one) in Colorado.
So…we’re pretty bummed and don’t know quite what to do. Packing, I guess. Yuck!
