A Beautiful Day

Craig and I went for a bike ride today since it’s the last day we’ll have warm enough weather for awhile. I had take a ” shortcut” on the way home the other day (actually went way out of my way) and found an old road that runs along and in between several working farms. The name of the road is Riverdale and it’s as beautiful as it sounds. The trees are all gold and yellow with corn stalks and wheat everywhere. The road is curvy with just a few hills…awesome for motorcycles. It was in the mid to lower 60’s with just enough sunshine. I can’t tell you how much just a few hours on the road with my bike makes all the stress go away. I road the first half of the ride listening to the Charlie Daniels Band and the last part to the Steve Miller Band. We took a short break in Brighton (about 10 miles from our home) and drank Pumpkin Spice Latte’s while setting at a table on Starbuck’s patio. Doesn’t get much better than that!

However, lest you think our life is one of ease….I STILL have boxes upstairs that need to be unpacked, 5 rooms that still need curtains (ones that I have to make), about a zillion small tedious chores to do AND tons of Christmas presents to crochet that I haven’t even started on yet. Aaaahhhhh….life is GOOD!!
