Back to my nephews
My sister and her family have now moved from Possum Grape back to Batesville. I can’t tell you how happy I am not to have to tell people that my sister lives in Possum Grape!
Jen and Ron found a great house in the historic part of town. Jen has loved old house her entire life and is just thrilled with her “new” dream home.
The boys are having fun too. They have had to make a few adjustments to being back in town but are doing great. They especially love the fact that they can just get on their bikes and go just about anywhere. They live very close to their school and their friends and enjoy their new found freedom. It’s seems, though that they might have a couple of things mixed up a bit. Yesterday, they told Jen they were going down to the school to play for a while. When they were headed home from playing, Jen heard the youngest of the three (Grey) calling from down the street saying “Mom…we’re almost home… (in a sing-song type voice) and you’re gonna love what I have for you!”. So here comes Grey riding up the street with a handful of spring daffodil flowers. Yep…he had picked them out of somebody’s yard. So Jen proceeded to thank him for the thought and explain why you were not supposed to pick flowers from other peoples yards. At one point, Cade (the middle one) chimed in with the following (spoken in that older brother tone)” yeah Grey….you’re supposed to only pick them at night!” About that time, Jen’s husband Ron (who is in training to be a state trooper) said “OH NO….we’re not going to have any of that!” At which point Grey said “well Dad…..it’s not like I can put them back!
Man…I miss those little buggers!
