Zoo
AJ and Ashley are with us today (Monica’s girls) so we are all going to the zoo!! Craig and I haven’t been since we moved back and we are really excited about going. The high for today is 66 degrees so it should be nice. We’re taking at least one camera to shoot some video footage for our video website econoclips.com.
We’re back from the zoo. I didn’t have time to post the before-zoo-blog so I’ll just add the after-the-zoo to it. We had a really good time. The Denver Zoo is one of the higher ranked zoo’s in America because it has so many unique and endangered animals. I saw at least half a dozen animals I’d never seen before. The animals were up and walking/pacing around a lot which is always nice.
However, the large Ape exhibit turned out to be….well….gross. A young ape walked over to a tree limb that was on the ground, jumped up on it and with it’s back turned to us starting peeing. That was not the gross part. I was mentally thinking..”must be the bathroom and shouldn’t they at least put up a screen for the poor little ape” when it (here comes the gross part..be warned!) stuck it’s finger up it’s butt, pulled it out and (I’m trying to keep from puking as I write this) ATE it’s poop. At that point I was mentally screaming “put up a dang screen for the poor little humans that have the misfortune of seeing that”!!!!!! We pretty much decided to go home after that.
All in all it was a great day. I think Craig is going to put up some video of it so I’ll let you know if he does. Yes…we did walk around the zoo all day with the Craiger Camera on us. A normal thing for the Kendalls now.
