Wish I had one!

I stumbled on this really cool craft room at modishhandmade.com I would LOVE to have a craft space like this one. It is light and airy while still maintaining control over the messiness crafting can create! Most people make the mistake of wanting bright and cute bins because they add so much color to any room. However, see-through containers save you time by being able to see what’s in them at a glance. The bright red, polka dotted cloth “door” is PERFECT for adding the splash of color needed to make this room inspiring and FUN at the same time.
Right now I’m using our loft and while the light and space is really great, I hate using a space that is supposed to be a quiet little “get-away” space for our guests. Plus…sewing is really messy! (At least it is when I do it!) I also love having so many containers for all the little stuff. Sewing has a lot of little stuff and so does crochet. I’ve started putting things in the zipper bags that sheets, curtains etc. come in. They actually work pretty well. I’m using a card table for my sewing machine. The surface is fine but because it is light weight, it bounces if I sewing anything to fast!
How do you store your crafty “stuff”? I’d love to know your organizing secrets!

Wow, your blog is so fun to comment on now
My “studio” is a corner of my living room, but I have a huge dresser full of fabric in my basement. Dressers are GREAT for storing all kinds of things, can be potentially really cute and functional and are pretty easy to come by for cheap.
