May Day

Happy May Day!

It’s May 1st and it’s snowing outside! It’s a beautiful snow. The kind of flakes that are so big they look like feathers. It was 79 degrees here yesterday and the temp right now is 39 degrees. No wonder my head hurt all day yesterday. It’s supposed to snow again tomorrow then start warming up again. Either way….I love it. I’d forgotten how much I love spring and summer here. July and August are the only two really hot months. And normally we don’t have 3 digit temps in the summer here. Humidity is almost always low as well. Yep…I love it here. Now…if all of you could just move here… ;-)

It’s back to sewing again today. I made a tote yesterday but am concerned about the sturdiness of it. I’ll probably take it apart and add some batting to it. It’s a REAL pain but I tossed and turned all night thinking about it. I just can’t let something like that go until I fix it. (GROAN) OCD can be a real pain sometimes!

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT

Our sweet daughter just finished her last test/class in college! She is finished!! Way to go Jes! She has applied for several jobs here but the one she wants the most is a position working as an Administrative Assistant to the manager of the volunteer workers for the Denver Zoo. Our kids have always loved the zoo and Jes still goes to the zoo as often as she can. So keep her in your prayers please. It’s a good job with excellent benefits.

Gotta go sew. Hopefully I can put up some pics of the finished product later tonight.

Oh Julie, I can’t believe she’s done (and I’m sure she’s really “done”- I sure don’t miss the tests and papers)! I’m so proud of her. I remember the summer I lived with you guys and she was about to start Kindergarten. . . time does fly. Carson starts K in the fall! Only one more peep at home. . . sigh!
Post some pics of the tote (in all your free time) Julie
