Happy October!

I just LOVE October! I bought two bags of apples today and Craig and I are hopefully going back up the mountains on Friday to take some pictures and shoot some video. I’ll make sure to post them if we get to go.

As for sewing, here is the latest purse for the Market on Sunday. The purse pattern called for the purse to stay open (no closure of any kind) but I felt it both looked better and functioned better with an easy closure.

A close up of the covered button I added.

The lining.

I’ve really been in the Christmas mood lately and I’ve always loved making ornaments. So I thought I’d try something new. I’m not really sure if I like them but here are some pictures of some pinecone ornaments that I made several days ago.

On a personal note…
Not much new. Craig is still battling some kind of cold/allergy thing. Jes has some off and on Crones issues and Adam is having a difficulty in his life as well. Me…well…a distinct lack of estrogen does not make for a happy Julie! :-) So prayers all around would be greatly appreciated.

Oh…and Lily? She gets a day at the spa! I feel so sorry for her.

Ooohhhhh, I want to buy that green and pink one!!!! Love it and the brown and blue one!!! Great work, you are so talented!!! Thank you for your kind and sweet words on my blog, they truly mean so much to me!!!!! This is so hard and I think I would give anything to be back home. I didn’t think I would struggle so much and it’s alot of pain to endure, I miss that my kids don’t get to see their grandparents whenever we want , I was blessed beyond my wildest dreams back home and I am just now realizing how much! Thank you for all of the encouragement and prayers!! You know that Denver was one of the places that we might have had to moved to and it opened up a month after Matt accepting the job here. Had he turned this one down, we would have more than likely been pushed in a corner to come there! At least we would have friends!!:)
I love your aprons too!!!!! Girl, as I am free to spend some money, I would love to shop your stuff, if you are selling!!! :)
Love you and miss you tons!!!

You know the saying…if mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy! :-) Sorry you guys are in rough patch at the moment. Definitely praying for you ALL.

LOVE the bag and the ornaments – you are doing some amazing work, my friend!

    Heather,

I NEVER make anything pink and green without thinking of you!! I’m hoping to have some of the ornaments on the CraftyGirlz site sometime early November. And I totally understand about the money thing. We are TIGHT right now too and it doesn’t look as if things will loosen up for quite some time. Oh well….we do what we can when we can and trust God for the rest. I know it’s an old cliche’ but it’s still true.

    Thanks Rach!

I just wish someone would do a study that proves chocolate is FULL of estrogen. Hershey’s would be rich enough to buy out Bill Gates and I’d be one happy Momma!
